Bit tricky, I've jumped in here after my ball for a cool down and I'm nearly up to my neck in it.

That's better, found a rock to stand on - can I bury this ball in here?

Snow Play

Today's walk was amazing - still loads of snow everywhere.  It's getting on my nerves a bit now as this is the first time we've been able to get up here for a good run.  Played snowballs and got really cold toes.

Another trip to the beach

Dad and Rachelle took me to Bridlington for a swim tonight.

Bank Holiday Splash

My treat for today was a dip in the sea. Mum, Dad, Jon and Rachelle came with me and it was a lovely evening, warm and no wind. Unfortunately I did get rather wet and smelly so I had another treat (NOT) when I got home.........in the bath!!

It's been a Good Friday!!!

Tim's home from uni and is working at the Bridlington branch of his superstore!!! He needed a ride today so I went along and my parents decided as it was time I had a bath, I might as well go to the beach - as usual I LOVED IT!!!

Happy Birthday to Me

Today is my 'official' birthday - don't know when my real one is, but I've got to have one so it's the day my Mum and Dad saw me at the kennels and took me home. To celebrate I had a bath. Not my favourite present actually, but it keeps the family happy. An Orca was my favourite gift - I love Orcas, and I've already lost two. Then there was a new red lead - I'll try not to chew the plastic bit on this one........ I got extra Jumbones at Grandma's too.

I chose my own present - a new stick. It started off as a ten foot sapling and I managed to bite it in half, it fit better into the car that way. Dad didn't want it in the car, but it was too good to leave behind. Whilst I was dealing with it, I managed to get rid of that overpoweringly, clean shampoo smell and reverted back to muddy dog!! Much better I think.

Early Morning Walk

I've been too busy to blog lately, but I had this photo taken early this morning in the fields over Kings Mill - I love going there but it's really muddy this time of year. The ground was frozen rock solid, you can see the frost, so it was easy walking and I didn't get all blathered up. Hope it's frosty again next Sunday.

Happy Christmas Day

WOW, what a day. Everyone stayed home, Grandma and Grandad came for dinner and I got treats wrapped up in fancy paper. If this is Christmas, I'm all for it - even if I did have to wear a coat for the day.

I Love Snow!!!

The snow came and I loved it. Mum took me for a walk and a blizzard started and I chased the snow flakes and snapped like I do with the flies. When we got to the grandparents I found I liked eating it, but not as much as catching snowballs.

I love my Dad, but I can tell by his face, he doesn't like me kissing him on the lips.............

House-sitting

It's been all go this week, rushed off my feet. Grandparents are away in Austria and I'm on security duty making sure their house is safe. I found this spot which gives me an all round view and I can get to any other spot in the house or garden within 20 seconds. Actually less than 10 seconds to the kitchen if someone says "treat".

Part of the neighbour's tree fell into my garden - Oh Boy! This is going to keep me busy for days.........

Bathtime

The hot weather has been a bit too much for Benji - too much for everyone in fact. He's been treated to a cooling bath today and whilst he was a little reluctant to jump in, he enjoyed it once he was there. All fresh and fluffy now. Couldn't resist a roll on the grass afterwards.

New Blanket

Finished Benji's blanket - we all love this fabric. It's a flannel from USA and it is gorgeously soft to touch. Something I would use as a quilt backing in the future, particularly for a child or baby. I could have embroidered forever on it, but stopped at six motifs. I used Janome memory cards - "Puck & Friends" and "Kipper". Two of the many memory card bargains I have picked up lately on eBay.
I think the blanket may be kept for best or the front room sofa - not a great choice of colour for a black dog.

Hope he likes it!

Beach Treat Today

Went to Bridlington today with Tim, Jon, Rachelle and Dad. It's been far too hot so I got in the sea and cooled off. Absolute Bliss!!! Rachelle took a couple of videos on her phone.
